Last night I lost my baby boy Bailey, very suddenly. He was such a wonderful soul and my very first dealings with ERU. He was such a wonderful foster parent, all the fosters that came through my house he took under his Paw and made sure they knew the ropes and was very patient with each and everyone of them. being a puppy mill survivor he had trust issues, but he loved me and mama very much. He will be tremendously missed by us and his brother Casper........Arlene Young, April 12, 2021 More sadness. Basil came to us from ERU in the summer of 2019. He was a senior eskie then and apparently had lived in several different areas of the country. He wasn't being adopted. We took over fostering him after meeting up halfway with Arlene Young. Before we adopted him, he was taken care of by ERU for a protruding rectal lesion. I drove him to the other side of FL for his surgery and brought him home afterwards. This lesion was to be his final undoing as it sadly returned and he was having difficulty defecating, especially trying to stand up on his arthritic legs. The vet said it was his time. We helped him pass peacefully and I stayed with him until he was gone. This is a photo of him when we first fostered him. Arlene's mother made this comforter for him and he slept on it every day!…..Lori Conway, November 5, 2021 Bean. Beanie baby. Beano Neutrino. Clovers boyfriend. Our sweet, beautiful, devoted boy died suddenly at 4:40 this afternoon......Denise Barker, October 17, 2020 Bear crossed the rainbow bridge in July of 2024. I got Bear as an ERU foster and quickly realized he was going to be a permanent foster. Why? He was 12 years old, had a predilection for biting strangers and liked to attack other foster dogs. But I loved him. I had him for 7 years—he died at 19–and I loved him more each year. He was a good dog. He will be missed……Lynn Badger, July 2024 My Beautiful Beautiful Bella. Tonight she crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be with her brothers. She has been fighting kidney disease for the past year and tonight she lost. She has been such a joy and love in my life and I will truly miss her. She was my first foster failure. She would have been 15 this coming Sunday!!! Run free baby girl and roll in the grass.......Arlene Young, March 25, 2020 Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
