UPDATE: I am no longer at the vets office, woohooo, I made a road trip to Pennsylvania this past weekend and will be living there till someone wonderful adopts me. As my new foster mommy learns more about me we will give updates but I was listening to the nice people at ERU who helped me get here say that I was a nice quiet dog and did very well in the car. Stay tuned for more on me.
Hi my name is Hunter and I am without a home. I am currently at my vets office living with them. They are very nice to me but I would prefer to be in a real home where someone can love me and take care of me for the rest of my senior years. My owner got sick and can no longer take care of me and needs to find me a new home. I am hoping that the nice people with Eskie Rescuers United will be able to take me in however at this time they do not have the room but I hear they are trying really hard. I do not want to end up at the shelter. I think I know what happens to old dogs like me when they go there. I do have a brother that needs to find a home as well his name is Ozzie It would be nice if we could stay together. He is also listed on this website.
I am about 12years old and I weigh in at about 40lbs , I am a little overweight but do not really look like it. I am told that I am the sweetest dog and not aggressive or fearful and I as well love to play with cats. When my dad was around I used to lay next to him while watching TV however he is no longer with us so in the end I sat with my brother ozzie and my mommy while she was watching tv. If you want to know more about me and are interested in adopting me please contact my foster mommy at smllcakes@yahoo.com
Woof,
Hunter

Good with Dogs
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
