Hi, I am Happy Hoppy! I was so young when rescued from a puppy mill! I wasn't quite an adult yet and I already had babies like me in my tummy. Thankfully that will be the one and only litter I will ever have as I am spayed. My babies were healthy and were adopted fast. I was told I was a great mommy. Like a lot of eskies, I am very cautious around strangers and will bark to protect them. But after I get to know you, I am very loving. You can see this in my pictures that I'm just a little ball of love. I will also go to the door and wave my one front leg at you motioning to please take me out when I need to "go". My foster mommy says that I am such a sweet girl and can't help holding me all day long because I can tell you I am just irresistable. I will go to my new home with a nice stroller because the ice and snow make me fall flat on my face. I am very fast and love to run too, I can't however do long walks, it is better that we bring the stroller to give me a break here and there, and most importantly, to protect my tiny body from neck, back and shoulder injuries so that I can be your furever friend for many, many years. In my foster home I have a human sister that i just love. I am good with kids but it would be best if I went to a home without children due to my vulnerability; however, older children would be fine. I am healthy and have inherited the eskie longevity, I have the potential to live late into my teens. I am sorry I don't look like an eskie, but I don't look like a chihuahua either and may be why I am not finding my furever home as fast as the rest of the eskies in my exteneded family but hope is part of my name as is happy, so not having a defined look does not bother me. I am just happy to have been rescued by a wonderful group of people and hope to find my furever home soon. Would you consider me? I promise to melt your heart away when I know that I will be safe in your home, my new and furever home. Thank you and WOOF! Hoppy More about Hoppy of OHGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Special Needs: Hoppy only has 3 legs due to a birth defect. The 4th is unusable, but she isn't aware that she is handicapped. She can run and play with the rest of them. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Other Pictures of Hoppy of OH (click to see larger version):
