Haley is a 12 pound, two year old American Eskimo. Her huge personality makes up for her small size, she is full of Eskie sass. She does good with submissive dogs, but a dominate one might think she's a little too much. She is very bright and energetic. She loves to play fetch and has a very high toy and ball drive. She loves to go on adventures, to keep her busy mind at work. She would probably love to participate in a dog sport, such as agility. She needs an active owner who is ready to keep her mind and body in action. She is wary of strangers, but once she warms up to you, she shows nothing but love and loyalty. She's not the type of dog who loves everyone she meets. She would do ok in a home with older, mature and dog savvy children. No young children please. She can be nippy with people she doesn't know/trust (such as the groomer and the vet).

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
