**Please note I am a toy eskie, it is very rare to find a toy. Also one of the conditions of adoption for Remington is you must take him to obedience class. ******

Hi, my name is Remington! I'm a VERY handsome 5-year old toy-sized American Eskimo boy who weighs all of 11 pounds! Someone once called me a pistol, so my foster mommy named me after one! The name suits me just fine! I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm housebroken too! No one ever cared enough about me to teach me any commands. Sit? What's that? I'm working on it though, and maybe I can get a few treats out of the whole deal. TeeHee! I could use some obedience training, which would help me bond even more with you as we go to the classes together. One of the conditions of my adoption is you must enroll me in obedience class. I get along very well with dogs, but we don't know about cats because we don't have any where I'm staying. I am energetic but can be a couch potato, too. Sometimes I act so silly my foster mommy calls me her little race car! Vroom-vroom! I'm a real ladies' man and I just LOVE being right by their side. I'm ok with some men, but would rather not be around small children. (Kids who know how to handle a small dog like me might be fine, but no rugrats who might hurt me, pretty please?) I'm a sweet and lovable and feisty little boy who is waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life?

I was adopted out previously and lived with a family for three years. However they just moved to a new house and since the move I have started to mark. So they are returning me. This is something that can be corrected with training and use of belly bands. Since I am just now coming back into rescue today, I will have to have my new foster mom evaluate him. However go ahead and put your application in on me if you are interested. I wont be around long.

You can see how completely adorable-looking I am! If you're interested in me, you better fill out an adoption application right away, because toy Eskies aren't very common and I'm sure to get scooped up quickly!

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact
justus4250@aol.com or gina@eskierescuers.org. You can also visit our website

and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. I'm staying in Pennsylvania until my new family comes along!

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
