Hi Everyone:  I have a new name "HURLEY"  and "LUCKY YOU" I am looking for a new forever family.  My current family is experiencing an unfortunite situation and requested, with heavy heart, for ERU to find a new home for me.

My mom named me after a surf company because I like the Florida sun.  I was getting along great with my brothers and sisters but have to go because my parents are splitting up.
I get along with other cats and dogs.  I’m not so sure about kids but have grown to tolerate the 2 ½ year old that torments me.  In true eskie fashion, I take a while to warm up to visitors but am always loving and protective of my family.  I LOVE walks but try to run after bicycles or motorcycles.  I know basic commands.I do not want to leave my family but need somewhere that has more time and attention for me.

The following is the previous bio (2005) for "Little Boo" , renamed "Hurley"

Hi, my name is Little Boo (or Boo for short)! I'm a miniature-sized American Eskimo male and I'm almost 3 years old. I weigh about 20 pounds and I'm very quiet and shy until I get to know you, which doesn't take long at all. I bark very hard at strangers, but only until I know I can trust them, and then I'm just the sweetest guy around!!

I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm housebroken and I love to go for car rides and play in the backyard. I like baths and getting brushed, but I try to run away when you get too close to my tail-end!

I'm very well-mannered, and I get along great with my human and dog friends. I even like my foster mom's bird! I like to go on quiet walks, especially when there aren't too many people or children around, because I can get a bit overwhelmed. I need to be in a home without small kids, because they are too loud and boisterous for me. I know all my basic commands and I try to be a really good boy for my family.

My foster mommy says I'm a real doll, very sweet and loving once I get to know you. Wouldn't you love to get to know me? I'd be so happy if you gave me a chance...life has been kind of tough for me until recently! I'm waiting as patiently as I can for my forever family-will that be you?

Please go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its fosters as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!

Little Boo!

Is Not Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
