Hi, I'm Herbie!  I was found as a stray in Tennessee, and the awesome ERU volunteers saved me and brought me to Maryland!  I am such a happy, friendly boy with plenty of energy and always ready to give love.   My foster mom can't believe how well adjusted I am, and how quickly I've become accustomed to a normal life.  I'm very energetic but I am still learning how to play with my foster brothers.  Still, we get along great! I'd be fine living as a single dog or with others, but my foster mom doesn't know how I am with kids or cats since I've only lived with her a short time.  I love sleeping on the couch on my back with all four paws in the air so there's easy access for tummy rubs!  I'm a little underweight right now, but my big brown eyes will melt your heart.  Won't you please give me a fur-ever home?

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
